Hi All,

If you get a Security Warning like this:

" The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value. Do you want to continue using this server?"

in Outlook or any other email client, when you click on send & receive or every time your email client checks for new emails. Please use our server name directly in place of mail.yourdomainname.co.nz to get rid of this security warning.

The reason why this message pops up, is because all our mail servers are now using SSL certificates for security reasons. Name of the domain on the SSL certificate is our server name. So when,in your email clients you use mail.yourdomainname.co.nz and enable SSL to send or receive emails, your email client tries to match the domain name with the SSL certificate and it fails because name of domain on SSL certificate is of our server and in your email client you are using mail.yourdomainname.co.nz as your mail server.

So this mismatch cause this pop up to appear.

To find out which mail server you are on, you can email our support team or give us a call.
