What is the path to my file somefile.html?

You can identify the path to your files and folders according to these two different methods:

Firstable, please follow these few steps:

 

  • Choose your hosting plan from the Subscription drop-down box (top right)

 Click on the Files tab in the navigation bar

  • Click on the httpdocs directory in the left panel

  • Click on the New button button in the tool bar then click on File

1. Finding the path with a PHP script:

 

  • Name the new file test.php

  • Open the file you just created in the text editor (click on the arrow next to the file name)

  • Copy and paste the following script in the document then click on the OK button

print $_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'];
?>

 

  • Use your internet browser et enter the following URL: http://yourdomain.co.nz/test.php
    (NB: replace yourdomain.co.nz by your domain name)

 

  • You should see something like: /var/www/vhosts/domain.co.nz/httpdocs/test.php

 

 

2. Finding the path with an ASP script:

 

  • Name the new file test.asp

 

  • Open the file you just created in the text editor (click on the arrow next to the file name)

 

  • Copy and paste the following script in the document then click on the OK button

response.write(server.mappath("./"))
%>

 

  • Use your internet browser et enter the following URL: http://yourdomain.co.nz/test.asp
    (NB: replace yourdomain.co.nz by your domain name)

 

  • You should see something like: C:\inetpub\domain.co.nz\httpdocs
