Email client constantly asks for password

Sometimes you may randomly start being prompted for your password on your email software, there are scenarios that may cause this:

Scenario #1: Wrong password was input.

Although you may be adamant the password is correct, it always pays to double check.  You can do this by logging into your webmail portal, just go to http://webmail.<yourdomain>/ and if you fail to login you will need to go through and reset your password via your Plesk admin Panel.  If it does go through correctly however, you will need to retype the password into your mail client settings.

Scenario #2: You have the wrong mail server settings.

This pops up if you're trying to authenticate on a server where the username doesn't exist.  You will want to go through Openhost Email Settings Guide and ensure you've at least set the correct mail servers and there is no spelling mistakes.

These password prompts, very rarely mean there is an issue with the server.  More often than not, it does come down to spelling mistakes and the wrong configuration so always take your time in setting up your mail client software.
