Posted by Tim Botherway on 30 July 2018 06:49 PM

Renewing a domain name is an easy process that we will take care of for you by sending you a reminder that your domain is about to expire 60 & 30 days prior. However, if you miss this, or you want to renew your domains earlier this can be done so with the following steps:

Steps:

1. Login to your account and go to your domain section on the left side, then click on your domain name (under the domain column), to go into its properties.

2. Under the ‘Domain Registration’ Panel, click on ‘Actions’, then select 'Renew'

3. You can then select the term for how long you want to renew the domain for, and then select ‘Renew’.

4. You will be presented to confirm your purchase and select your payment option , then click ‘Confirm'.

FAQ:

How long can I renew a domain?
A domain is registered up to a maximum of 10 years. So if you want to renew an already registered domain typically, nine years is the most when its previously registered (current timeframe + 9 = >10)

I want to renew for less than a year is this possible?
No domains can only be renewed on an annual basis

A Renewal term I want is not offered?

The renewals are only ever sent to the contacts that you’ve specified on your account. If you need to update those contacts check out our article.  It will also help to whitelist our contacts accounts@openhost.co.nz & support@openhost.co.nz in case you have an aggressive spam filter.
