How Do I Get Domain Privacy
Posted by Tim Botherway on 30 July 2018 07:16 PM

Steps:

1. Go to the Domain summary page for the particular domain you wish to transfer. You do this by selecting Domains on the left-hand menu, then click on the appropriates domain row.

2. Under the ‘Advanced Options’ panel, click on ‘Actions’ for the drop down; then select ‘Enable/Disable Whois privacy

3. Domain privacy should turn on instantly, and you can verify this by doing a WHOIS on your domain.

FAQ:

The domain privacy still shows my name and email?
That is correct; it will still show that much information for public records. If you have concerns about your email being displayed, you could use an email alias <link to aliasing> to hide it slightly.

I don’t seem to have WHOIS privacy option on my domain?
For .co.nz domains, if you are trading as a business, then as per Domain Name Commission ruling you can not enable privacy. This option is only available for individuals.
