How do I point my Domain to Squarespace?

In your Squarespace control panel, they should have sent you some DNS settings so you can configure your domain’s DNS to point to their servers. If not you may need to follow their guides or contact them directly to ensure you have the right values. It will look similar to below:

Steps to setup Squarespace on <brand> system:

1. Once you’re in your Openhost account, go to the Domains section via the navigation bar on the left side, then select the domain you wish to connect.

2. On the ‘DNS Hosting’ Panel, select ‘Manage DNS Records’ from the ‘Actions’ drop-down menu.

3. Select ‘Add New Record’ to put in your records, alternatively if these already exist edit the existing records. More information can be found here.

Here are some examples of what your entries should look like when adding in Squarespace records:

CNAME

A record

FAQ:

Do I add all of the A records provided?
Yes, they are all required by Squarespace as if one goes down the others are there as backups.

Squarespace keeps saying my verification is wrong.
Take a screenshot of your record and send it Squarespace to ensure you have the correct record.

How long will it take to change over?
1 – 2 hours as these are only minor DNS records.

Can you help me with Squarespace queries?
No, we don't sell or support Squarespace.
