Customer Update

Dear Customers,

LP-003.platform.net.nz – Brute force attack

Please be aware that we are currently experiencing attacks aimed at this Server which hosts some of our customers Wordpress sites. We have put mitigation measures into place, but the server is running with very high workloads. We are monitoring the situation and are reaching out to our upstream network provider to assist us with upstream traffic blocks. We will advise when a permanent fix is in place. Sites are working but might be experiencing slightly slower than usual load speeds.

General Server Maintenance Notification

Dear Customers,

We are writing to advise that we are running a patch cycle on our servers over four hours during the following period:

Start Time: Thursday 23 May 2019 at 10:00 pm NZST
End Time: Friday 24 May 2019 at 1:00 am NZST

This work is being undertaken to ensure our servers are protected against vulnerabilities. We expect very little impact on our customers but there may be rolling restarts of services required during this time period.

Emergency Maintenance Update

UPDATE 4.22pm: This server is now back up and running correctly.

Please note that a specific server (Linuxplesk23.openhost.net.nz / IP 112.109.81.169) has been offline since 2pm. Our engineers are urgently attending to the problem and we have a fix ETA of approximately 5pm today. Some customers websites or email may be affected by this failure. We apologise for any inconvenience caused while we urgently resolve this issue.

Customer Update

Dear Customers,

Please note that one specific server (Linuxplesk2.openhost.net.nz) was briefly offline today. Our engineers attended to the problem and it is now up and running correctly again, the downtime was approximately 2 hours.

Customers websites that may have been affected by this failure will receive a notification when they next login to their account.

The server is now fixed and running correctly.

Platform Migrations

As many of you are aware from previous communications, we are in the process of migrating customers from our old, end-of-life provisioning system to our new one. Due to the one-off customisations and complexity of the old system we have experienced more delays than expected during migration. We sincerely apologise for these delays, our team are working very hard to solve the issues as they arise and progress the migration as fast as possible.
