How to transfer my domain using the Control Panel?

Overview

This article details the different requirements for domain name transfers. These processes are in place to ensure confirmation of ownership and prevent fraudulent transfers and domain theft. These processes are also put in place by governing bodies for each domain name and must be followed to successfully transfer domains between all registrars.

 

Follow the steps below to transfer ".nz" Domains

 

Step 1. Request the UDAI code and ask to unlock your domain from current registrar.

 

Step 2. Click here to go to Control Panel and log into you account using your Username and Password

 

Step 3. Now Click on Transfer Domain under Domains tab.

 

Step 4. Now in textbox you can enter domain name you wish to transfer with UDAI from current registrar as shown in image below, or you can do it in later steps. When done click next.

 

Step 5. Confirm the transfer by checking checkbox for terms and conditions and then click next.

 

Step 6. Enter the UDAI if you didn't enter it in 4th step. Confirm by checking checkbox if you wish to keep the existing DNS settings and click next.

 

From here you domain transfer should take place and get successfully transferred if you have completed all the steps correctly.

 

Please note - domains cannot be transferred in these cases:

  • In the first 5 days after initial registration.
  • After the expiry date has passed.
