Awstats vs Traffic data from our overuse system

As per our announcement on 24/10/2014, we have started charging customers for traffic and storage over use. We annouced this change as per the knowledgebase article below:

We have found that the display of the traffic data shown by the AWStats ( our statistics program which measures traffic, hits, views per site ) may be confusing and this article aims to address it.

As per the following screenshot, AWStats splits the traffic data between the Viewed and non viewed traffic. AWStats's explanation on non viewed traffic is "Not viewed traffic includes traffic generated by robots, worms, or replies with special HTTP status codes."


In the above case, the total traffic used by the site is Viewed Traffic (14.46GB) + Not Viewed Traffic (6.20 GB) = 20.66 GB.  As per our plans, this site is overusing traffic by 10.66 GB and this is the data that our script sees.
